How to report Cheaters (battlefield 3)
This post is taken from the BF3forums, it explains how to report a suspected cheater:
Hey folks,
There is an increase in individuals posting usernames of Cheaters/Stat Padders or Hackers or anything else relating to such activities within this area.
Please do not post such stuff within this area, however as stated plenty of times by the moderation team -- please use the following routes of reporting in order for the team to deal with these individuals (if found guilty) at a much swifter and precise pace.
GetSatisfaction - http://getsatisfaction.com/battlefield3/topics/dice_please_ban_these_hackers [getsatisfaction.com]
Via Profile - Visit the users battlelog profile, click the report "exclamation" mark symbol at the top-right of their page, and fill it in with the reason for reporting them. (direct report)
Show FPS in battlefield 3
okay, to be able to decide what the best resolution / graphic quality to use
on your rig, you need to know the FPS you're videocard is producing.
Two ways:
- download and run Fraps
- open BF3 console and type: render.drawfps 1
This will show the # of FPS produced, see the green number on top-right of screen.
Any number > 60 is the smoothest, but most likely, anywhere between 40 - 60 FPS
should be very playable (personal preference alert ! )
Run your BF3 server in training mode
We have been looking for a way to start playing alone, or with a few people.
Mostly because of flight training and reviewing maps.
After some searching we found a forum post with this tip:
In the startup config file of your server change the following values:
#_______________________________________________________
# How many players to start the round (int)
#vars.roundStartPlayerCount "8"
vars.roundStartPlayerCount 1
# Minimum players before a current around aborts (int)
#vars.roundRestartPlayerCount "4"
vars.roundRestartPlayerCount 0
#_______________________________________________________
And now it's possible to start alone,
before this change you had to wait
for 7 more players to join.
Yay
EDIT: this has been disabled in the recent patch.
Adding this to the starting config won't work, instead it is possible to use these cmd's
on a live server via console.
